About
🎵 Steel, Grit and Grace – Short Bio (Press Release / EPK Version)
Steel, Grit and Grace brings classic country and bluegrass together with heartfelt harmony. Based in Northeast Indiana, the band is fronted by Jess Miller (lead vocals, fiddle), Dan Patton (vocals, rhythm guitar), and Tim Johnson (dobro, harmony vocals), with Jonathan Schwartz (mandolin, vocals) and Cecil Fike (upright bass). Their sound recalls the sincerity of the Opry era—Hank Williams, Jimmy Martin—performed with a fresh, acoustic drive. Formed in 2025, SGG delivers warm vocals, tight harmonies, and front-porch storytelling fit for festivals, churches, and community events alike.
🎶 Steel, Grit and Grace – Short Bio (EPK / Program Version)
Formed in 2025, Steel, Grit and Grace blends traditional country storytelling with contemporary bluegrass energy. Led by Jess Miller’s soaring vocals and fiddle, Dan Patton’s rhythm guitar and emerging lead vocals, and Tim Johnson’s dobro and rich harmonies, the trio anchors a sound full of warmth and grit. Jonathan Schwartz adds bright mandolin and harmony lift, while Cecil Fike’s upright bass grounds the groove with old-school authenticity. Influenced by Hank Williams, Rhonda Vincent, and Jimmy Martin, SGG keeps one foot in Opry tradition and the other in the hopeful present—bringing audiences a roots-centered show that feels like home.
