🎤 Band Bio
Formed in 2025, Steel, Grit and Grace is an acoustic country and bluegrass band rooted in the sounds of Roy Acuff, Hank Williams, Jimmy Martin, and the Grand Ole Opry tradition. Based in northeast Indiana, the group brings heartfelt harmonies, dobro-driven country classics, and a touch of bluegrass flair to every stage they play.
Jess Miller (fiddle, lead vocals) fronts the band with soulful vocals and stage warmth, joined by Tim Johnson (dobro, harmony vocals), Dan Patton (rhythm guitar, vocals), Jonathan Schwartz (mandolin, vocals), and Cecil Fike (upright bass). Together they blend classic country sincerity with the energy of modern acoustic bluegrass.
The band’s first performance took place at the Wickey Barn in Mendon, Michigan, in August 2025, followed by festival and community showcases across Indiana. Whether it’s a church festival, winery, or bluegrass gathering, Steel, Grit and Grace delivers authentic, crowd-pleasing performances filled with harmony, humor, and heart.
